Samsung Galaxy A50 Review

The Samsung Galaxy A50 was launched in our country as a member of Samsung's Galaxy A 2019 premium mid-range smartphone family, which was previously reviewed at the Mobile World Congress. Galaxy A50 is currently available for sale at a reasonable price, such as 2569 TL, 4000 mAh capacity battery, 3 cameras on the back surface, large screen, integrated with the screen fingerprint sensor offers beautiful features for the class. The 4GB RAM and 64 GB of storage are available in the Galaxy A50. Let's start with design first, then what other features we offer, what we think about, let's take a look at all of them.

Galaxy A50 Design

The Galaxy A50 is very attractive with its design. The most important factor that creates this charm is undoubtedly the back of the phone. Although the back surface is plastic, of course Samsung did not use plain plastic here. There is a 3D glass plastic surface here and it doesn't create the impression of plastic when you touch it. This surface emits different tones according to the light, thus making the phone look beautiful. So much so that, although the model is black in color, we can understand it when we read the phrase on the phone's box. Because the phone creates the impression of dark blue and dark blue under daylight. In the meantime, you can also find the Galaxy A50 in blue, white and coral.

The thickness of the Galaxy A50 is 7.7 mm, but the curved edges on the back of the phone give the impression that it is much thinner. Let's say it weighs 166 grams. With this, the price of the competitor model Xiaomi Pocophone F1 weighs less than 182 grams.

The power and volume buttons are located on the right side and the microSD card and the SIM card drawer on the left. In our single SIM card model, the Galaxy A50's microSD card slot is able to insert cards up to 512 GB.

The bottom edge of the phone with USB-C, speaker grille and 3.5 mm headphone jack, the back of the camera set of 3 percent. Underneath is the LED flash.

Galaxy A50 Screen

The screen of the Galaxy A50 is 6.4 inches. The display using the Super AMOLED panel produces Full HD +, a resolution of 2340x1080 pixels. You can't change the screen resolution like the other Samsung top models.

The screen aspect ratio is 19.5: 9. Samsung makes this possible by thinning the bezels and thanks to the Infinity-U Display, which has a U-shaped space for the camera at the top. As is known, the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus'ta examined, as well as the camera at the edge of the screen with a circle-shaped space is called Infinity-O Display. The Galaxy M20, which we recently reviewed, also had a V-shaped cavity on the upper side. Remember it was called Infinity-V Display. Samsung thus has a different touch from the successive models like the notch. However, on the other hand, many brands' phones also provided a return to drop notched screens. In the near future, this notch will completely disappear and we will encounter cameras embedded in the screen. At least Samsung is working on such a panel.

The Super AMOLED panel makes the contrast and saturation look good and the colors look vivid. The screen has a pixel density of 403 ppi and the screen-to-body ratio is 84.9 percent. Last but not least, the screen protection is of the Gorilla Glass 3 level.

Display Integrated Fingerprint Sensor

The Galaxy A50 features a fingerprint sensor integrated in the monitor. This feature, which we had previously examined at the Mobile World Congress, was turned off so that visitors could not lock the phone with their own fingerprints; therefore we could not experience this feature and we could not show you. As far as we're concerned, the phone's integrated fingerprint sensor works well. In the first instance, when you register your fingerprint, you can say that it moves a little heavy during the diagnostic period. However, you will not experience any difficulties after use.

The fingerprint sensor in the Galaxy A50, by the way, does not have an ultrasonic feature, as in the Galaxy S10. On the other hand, your finger does not detect when wet. As you know, when you touch the sensor when your finger is wet on the S10, the lock is unlocked. At this point Samsung has naturally cut the Galaxy A50 because of the class difference.
